To commemorate the 20 years since Da Nang’s recognition as a centrally-governed city (01/01/1997-01/01/2017), the photo exhibition named “Rivers of Vietnam” will open at the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture on December 16th, displaying 100 photos selected from more than 5,440 submissions to the Vietnam heritage contest 2016.
The entries have captured the beauty of the country and its people through their diverse themes and unique perspective. This year’s themes focused on four major topics, including nature, tangible heritage, intangible heritage, Vietnamese dailylife and the special topic of “Rivers of Vietnam”. According to the organizers, the contest attracted over 500 photographers, including professional and non-professional photographers.
The contest, organised annually by Vietnam Heritage Magazine under the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association, aims to raise public awareness of promoting and preserving cultural and natural heritages.
The exhibition will run at Cham Museum until March 30th, 2017.
