In December 24th, 2018, the Prime Minister of Vietnam has signed Decision about the recognition of National Treasures including the Dong Duong Pedestal currently exhibit at the Da Nang Museum of Cham sculpture. This is the fourth National Treasure in the Museum’s collection besides Tra Kieu pedestal, My Son E1 pedestal, statue of Tara/Avalokiteshvara that have been recognized in 2012. Dong Duong Pedestal is an unique artifact, thats has a specially symbolic value, it is proof of a prosperous era of the Champa kingdoms with a clear Buddhism influence. The artifact has been brought to the Museum since 1934.
